How do I set the default thread subscription for new users?

We want new users to have their profile set to automatically subscribe to any threads they start or reply to, with email notification. I didn't spot this in the AdminCP other than setting it individually for each user. Is there a way to make this the default?

Yes, I could do an SQL command to force the change on everybody, but that wouldn't catch users who register after I do that, and might upset users who had already turned it off and don't want it on.

Admin CP > User Registration Options > Default Registration Options > Automatic Thread Subscription Mode

under the options, you can customize new user registration subscription options.
