I would like to create a user with the data manager utilizing an existing md5 password ie. not the raw user input password. The reason for this request is my existing database user table with the contents of md5 passwords registered.

Is it possible? For the external connector login procedure it's possible to arrange for a login with the md5 password. Is it possible for the user create process also?

Md5 passwords can by decrypted and if someone were to compromise your site they'd be able to compromise your passwords as well
