New Upgrade???
Greetings All,
We have upgraded religiously in the 4.X series BUT I need to question if it is gonna break a bunch of stuff (mods and such) as it has the past few months... It gets tedious to upgrade and then have to await fixes for mods that work great BEFORE the Upgrade and it breaks POPULAR features and such.... I understand MAJOR rewrites during initial BUT we are at the point now where it should be fixes and such...So is THIS upgrade gonna break a lot of Mods??? Papa Bear |

You could create a new directory and copy all your forum files, create a new database, import your existing data and then upgrade from there. If everything works, just move that new directory to the forum index.
Depending on how big your forum is, it could take from 5 minutes to couple of hours. Well, that's what I would do. I've just upgraded to 4.0.5 from 3.8.4 |
