Oh my gosh, I'm new to vbulletin and databases in general.
I've only done one backup through phpMYAdmin before I attempted this mod. All the other backup stuff you were talking about flew right over my head. I'm so lost |

Ok I am using parcom Internet services as my host. I'm sure they have some sort of restore feature
Also, yes there were some files that I needed to FTP into an upload file on my root folder. The problem is the directions were so vague. The devs had two zip folders and one CSS text file. I only uploaded the contents of one of the zip folders because I wasn't sure what to do with the CSS file or the automation file. And no, I did not go back and delete the files I FTPed originally. That was not in the directions either. I probably installed it wrong in the first place, or at the least didn't install everything I was suppose to. If you go look at the files that were provided by the devs and you read the instructions you can see why I had such a hard time. There's like no info at all on what each zip folder does and how your suppose to install them. |

yep
i think its actually a two part mod the points system and the automation mod the css i not that big a deal right now. if you plan on useing the mod the files you uploaded are fine to leave there, and the other can be uploaded later. the idea is you would have actually over written the files on your server with the folders you ftp up so they dont go stay in the folder upload.. they have to be moveed into their respective folders like admincp and such. so what i would do since the table thing is not going away is fix it. you have a backup so what you need to do is on your desktop make a folder named goodbackup and place that file in it ok then make a backup of what you have and download it to afolder called badbackup then when thats done upload the goodbackup file and it will hopefully restore to the point before the install. good luck i will talk at you after all that :> |
