StyleVars question!
Sorry if this is in the wrong section, I was unsure. I don't understand exactly why vBulletin stopped us from been able to develop a style using Main CSS because StyleVars is just stupid. I've always created my own styles and the vBulletin 4 styles available they are disgusting and remind me of phpBB. I have downloaded a style that I want to work on and change into my own but when I open it up in Dreamweaver it has stupid <stylevar name"" code in it and it makes it impossible for me to customise to structure and overall template. Any advice on what I can do on making my own style, I'm lost. |

Hi,
Since nobody else has replied - your question has confused me, but are you saying that if you put a template into Dreamweaver it shows lots of codes like $stylevar[blah] and $bbusername etc? If so, this is normal. vBulletin translates these elements into useful things and phrases. The best way to make a vBulletin style is to do it from within the Admin CP, in my experience. |
