Is there a MOD that prevents bumping of threads?
Hey All,
I'm looking for a mod for vBulletin 4 that prevents a thread from being "bumped" back to the top of the specific forum section it is in. Its kind of a classifieds advertisement section, and I want to make it so that threads only get bumped back to the top of the listing when I want it to back to the top (perhaps after they pay a fee to bump it) Otherwise I'm finding people just commenting on their threads with pointless "4 left" type comments to get it back to the top. Anyone know if something like this exists? Where threads don't automatically get pushed back to the top unless a mod chooses it to be pushed back to the top? Please help, thanks! ~Dexx |

There was a nice "kill thread" mod for vb3 that would keep threads from going to the top, regardless of replies, but it hasn't been updated for vb4 yet. However, if you're getting threads bumped by the OPs just for the sake of being bumped, then you need to simply make a "no bumping" rule and enforce it. No modifications necessary.
