Question on reinstalling new files.
Hey all, I was wondering If I could just go ahead and delete my whole site and then reupload all the files and load the SQL file only, will that work?
I just needed to clean up all the junk I put on. |

Yes that would work only if you don't have mods installed with files. If yes then just reupload them again and you should be all good. Just for backup make home directory backup before deleting it..

Yep, I took care of the backups and everything.
I have a problem now, I decided to go ahead and put the forums on the root directory, I removed /forums/ from it, makes my life bit easier. My concern is, when I open up the website in Internet explorer the red icons show up and when I right click on them it shows the extra path /forums/ in between. Can that be an easy fix? I went in control panel and changed the path and removed /forums/ but it still shows from the old database when I browse the forums, or should I just go ahead and add forums to make it easier? Oh, here is my website: www.47r-squad.com |
