Does not work in Internet Explorer. ( sorry )

Due to requests, I have released this simple code. Essentially it will add a flashing

message in Notifications area.

Styles > Templates > your template >

additional.css

add:

.notifications-number { text-decoration: blink;}
.notifications-number {background-color: #de0000;}

Save.

open header template

find:

<a class="popupctrl" href="usercp.php{vb:raw session.sessionurl_q}">{vb:rawphrase 

your_notifications}: <span class="notifications-number"><strong>{vb:raw 

notifications_total}</strong></span></a>

change to:

<a class="popupctrl" href="usercp.php{vb:raw session.sessionurl_q}">{vb:rawphrase

notifications_total} Message(s)</strong></span></a>

You can change colour by editing the

.notifications-number { text-decoration: blink;}
.notifications-number {background-color: #de0000;}

(please dont use this code exactly above here as it is styled to show "red" in this code box. Use this

And this mod only work in main forum.. Not SubForum and any thread or other place...
