Porting Plugins to vb4 from wp

Hi There,

I have an SEO plugin that I created on wordpress some time ago and its been great for me for some time.

Im interested in porting it to vb4 to use on my board, and will also release it here for the general public to use free of charge - but only if I can add something like the footer links or links within the block that it generates back to my site, and be content that they wont be removed without prior permission first. RedTyger did a great job of doing this on his advertising system that I used to use on my old vb3.6 board, so I have two questions:

1) is there any simple step by step, "hello world" documentation around creating plugins for vb4

2) how the heck would I go about securing attribution without board owners editing out of the templates?
