Provide users with the ability to send message to moderator when registering?

Does anyone know of a mod which provides a text box for new registrants to "state their case" when registering?

My basic scenario is as follows: the forum is set to manual approval of all new members by moderators - the problem is the moderators don't always know which members to manually approve.

I was hoping we might give users a small textbox when registered which asks "Why do you want to be a member of this forum?" so moderators can read their reply and decide whether or not to approve their account.

Any ideas?

I dont know about any mods (doesnt mean there arent any lol) but you could add it as a profile field and set the profile field to Field required at Registration
