If you went through every template and modified them to use the new vb4 variable and condition syntax, then you could use the vb3 templates...... possibly. I've never tried it, but I do know you have to at least change the syntax.
Ok, I'll a bit modify question, will there be a vB3.8.x look alike skin? With all of vB4 functionality but just looking enough like vB3.8.x?
I get question from my users, they like vB3.8 looks and feel, and dislike vB4.
That is a question that should be asked on vb.com. But, from what I have seen on vb.com, no, you will not be getting another style. They have only ever released one style with their software before.
there was a discussion like that in vbulletin.com and the result was even if you tried to modify it. it will crash with you because version 4 is classified much more in variables

Man if you are the admin on your forum just tell your users that is the evolution of the system, tell them to forget about it. My board is about 10000 users and growing fast so I just upgrade live and make mods without their advise cuz like i said is the evolution of the site for good reasons... Its like moving from Win XP to Win 7, its better but there is always a sucker saying he likes more XP, WTF? hehe.
