Hide Thread View Count
We've recently (yesterday!) upgraded to vB 4 (patch 1). In our community, we prefer to hide the "thread viewed xx times" view count on the forumdisplay page. I had a great tweak for removing it from the previous versions (it was its own column before, as you can see right here in our VBO forums) but am unsure how to go about it with the current layout . . . I don't like mucking with variables without handholding, and can't sort out the code that merely commands the display of the count. Can someone suggest how to go about this?
Edited to add: We don't mind if announcements display the view count. Thanks! |

I was going to ask the same question. We have a number of members who don't truly understand how the view count works and will whine with "my post was viewed 20 times and I have only 2 replies, why doesn't anyone reply to me" when they probably were responsible for 15 of those views.
Help with this is appreciated! |
