Is there a solution to the problem of the image?

The problem is this image was saved for a white/light background. It has a white matte, you have it applied on a dark background. You can get the vbulletin gdk and save the image to the appropriate matte background. Which in your case is a dark background.

I wrote a guide a while back which will guide you to saving the image in the correct matte.
