vb4 forum question?
i want to use 4.0 cms and all that stuff once they are stable...but i do wanna have forums right now...could i install 4.0 forum and then install 4.0 cms once its ready? or would it be better to just install the latest forum (before 4.0) and then upgrade everything when its ready?
thanks, chris |

They will probably be released at the same time. But, questions regarding vb4 belong on vb.com, so you should ask your question over there - Installation Issues / Questions or bug reports regarding default vBulletin 4.0

You going to want to install the whole thing. If you plan to ever use the CMS (I didn't like it) or use the blog system then you going to wnt to install the whole thing now. Makes everything much easier in the future.
Actually this is pretty easy to do and you have a few options. Install The whole suite. Rename the index.php to something else like cms-index.php (I forgot is you can specify this in admin cp or not). Then just make a index.php file redirects to forum.php or go to your admin cp and make your forum use index.php. |
