Simple example -- what fields are added to the standard registration screen that the Admin can set up and require as mandatory fields.

I fully understand that sometimes Developers put horrible or slim to non descriptions for mods and yes its hard to really understand what all the mod will and will not do. Especially when a screenshot would most likely answer all the questions, and I have this same thing just going from discontinued mods where the screenshots have been removed.
As stated before you can to try to contact the author, make s post in pre-sales for a demo of better description, also read the feedbacc from other members who have used or tried the mod and see what they say. You, in the end, have more then just 1 option.

Thanks for the understanding -- you've touched on many of my challenges, in trying to figure out what I can potentially do with mods versus what custom coding might be required.
