My forums run 3.6.x. I have a special members usergroup who can access more forums than a regular user.
One of my users says that his access varies depending on which computer he is on. On his computer at home, he has access to the regular members areas plus the club member areas that are off limits to the public. But on his wife's computer (same house) and his work computer (not at home) he only has access to the regular user areas. Any ideas on why this is or how to fix it? This is a recent development without any changes to the board in a while. |

I would guess he is logged in as a different user on the other computers. I can't think of any other way for it to happen the way you describe it. You could try having him clear his cookies from the site from the computers before he logs in and see if that makes a difference.

He only has one account.
I've thought of clearing cookies but it seems strange that two seperate systems would both have corrupted cookies at the same time with the same results. |
