problem removing a product

i have recently unimstalled a product, the product does not appear in Manage Products section however it remains in the templates as a custom template

i added the following plugin which i thought would help

Hook Location :
cache_templates

php:
$globaltemplates[] = 'T4U_privacy';

however i have to click on revert to remove the template complety

how do i avoid this so that when i uninstall it the custom template will also go

If you had to add the template manually (check the instructions for the modification), then you need to remove it manually.
