Life Membership ... Impossible ?? Any idea very welcome
Hello :
Well I'm trying to allow my visitors to have a paid life membership to my forum. There is no option to do that with vbulletin cause all options in payment solutions are time limited. I'm looking for any solution in order to do that even if it's an external solution from vbulletin. I saw once a webmaster offering that kind of membership. He had created a page in its website which allowed to pay through paypal. I'm a bit curious in order to know how he could do to add each member in his vbulletin users database ... (all handmade ? automated through a special module ?). I really don't have any idea to do that !! I'm open then to ear every alternative idea which could allow me to do that... Thanks a lot guys... |

The paid subscription system can do this without issue, and its built into vBulletin. I realize you said that the subscription system uses time frames, but who do you know has lived 200 years? lol Just make a subscription with a 200 years time frame.
If someone lives 200 years and complains, give them a refund. lol |

thanks for your answer rich...
The problem is, for reasons of image and reliability, putting "200 years membership" for a medical forum is not the best thing I can do. It would be great to hide the name of the subscribing option or even replace it. Thanks |

You can put 99 year membership? Again most people are going to be above 13 at the time of joining your forum. Thus if they expire your 99 year membership, give them a refund (i doubt your site will be open that long, nor will u be around for another 99 years to come)
