spliting my vb board
I am wondering if this can be done, or if there is an easier way of doing so.
I want to split my board into 3 different websites (from the same domain) for example, say my website is board.com I want there to be private.board.com (which will entitle a new section to the main board board.com ) then I would want there to be, open.board.com (which would be another section) I want them to all run of the same database though so all the users are on each of the boards and there posts counts update on each and so on. Is there an easier way of doing this? or will this work if I run them off the same database? |

There is no easy way to do so, and it will probably require multiple licenses.

I suppose private.board.com could just redirect to a private forum on your main board..

board.com will have general chat and so on and will be more for general stuff. private.board.com, lets say thats for VIP. and open.board.com is another one Each of those boards are going to look different. but I want them to run off the same database so if a member posts on private.board.com there posts also still count on board.com. The reasons for seperating them is because I want each forum to have a different look to it but still be the same URL/forum Do you know a way of doing so? |
