I need to restrict folder access for forum users

I need to restrict folder access, for forum users, to a two new folders called (for example) “newfolder_x” and“newfolder_y” in the root directory. They will hold large graphic files too large for database backup.

Registered user can download from “newfolder_x”.

Subscribed Users can download from “newfolder_x” and“newfolder_y”.

Administrator, Moderator and Super Moderatos can download from“newfolder_x” and“newfolder_y”.

All other users cannot access “newfolder_x” and“newfolder_y”.


Is this possible, and how do I do it?
