On the article at the very bottom... it says discuss:
http://www.notebookreview.com/defaul...iba+mini+nb205 And if you'll see the discussion link is actually to the forum. I'm wondering how they auto create the link in the forum / also display the number of comments. Thoughts? I want to combine this feature in my Wordpress blog... thoughts? I basically want to circumvent Wordpresses commenting feature and use the forum as the place to discuss. |

I would guess that they either post the thread, and the first post in the thread is used for that article (and thus the threadid is already known so easy to post a link), or when they post the article, a thread is automatically created and the threadid is grabbed then. I'm not sure exactly what you are asking here.

Basically I want to do the same thing on my wordpress blog. I want to forgo the blog commenting system and instead when a new post is created on my blog it creates a thread in the forum.
Then the wordpress post shows the number of comments on the forum thread (dynamically updated). Is this possible pretty easily? |

It would probably be pretty easy if you are a good coder. If you are mediocre, it would probably take a bit of effort. I know if I tried, it would take some effort to get it just right.

How much would you charge? I just made a post about it recently in the paid section but have no responses so far.
