I was wondering if there exists a "multi race - hack" for the VBulletin.
I know there exists something like that for the Ikonboard (I use it on our german board) but we would like to buy the VBulletin ... IF there exists such a hack. If you don't know what I mean, check out our german ikonboard: http://swg.gamesurf.de/cgi-bin/board/ikonboard.cgi There you will see that every user gets (depending on the number of his posts) a "rank". At the time he registers he can choose which rank-way he wants. So in this case (it's a Star Wars board) he can choose between Dark-Jedi, Jedi, Crime, Rebellion and Imperial ... Please help me and tell me if such a hack exists, or if someone is willing to program it. Thanks for your help, Shakron |

I honestly can't remember but the user titles might work like this. I can't remember if you specifiy a post count for them. I have mine set to allow custom.
If not, use the stars hack by freddie. It is really simple to install and the one i still use. You can easily do what you want with that hack. |

hmmm ... that's not exactly what i meant.
i know that there is this starhack, but i need a modification if the star hack. see. if you register you'll get just the stars. you don't have a choice. what i want, is that the user can choose for example between stars, little flowers and apples. it should be a multi rank hack ... not a single rank hack like the one from freddie as i already pointed out, i have a hack like that installed on my ikonboard. but i really want to change to the vbulletinboard ... |

ok i am sorry i should read better.
The only easy way i can think about this is to do this: 1) create an extra field in profile. This is already avaliable as an option. Now, my understanding is you have something like this as a setup: Code:
POSTS 1-100 100-250 250-500 Star Wars Jedi Dark Jedi Luke Star Trek ensen captain admiral Then modify stars.php do call image but also to use the variable from the user so it would be: <img src="path_to_images/$user[new_field]/post_number.gif"> sort of thing. That would work and not require much hacking at all. |

Hmmm ... well, I'd like to control the whole thing through
the administration-center and so it would be pretty cool if someone could help me and write a hack for me because I don't know how to program PHP .... Thanks |

well, after lob seems to keep forgetting posting the hack, is there anyone who can code something like that?
i think it sounds pretty cool and it would be a great addition to the vbulletin. |

Well .. I really hoped Lob would give it to me because he promised to do so ...
... so I've to ask again if someone here is willing to program such a hack. I am sure it's not so hard to program but I don't know how to program ... |
