Warning:
This product makes DB Changes. Backup your Database before installing this product. If you are unable to do that, then do not proceed.

Description:
This is a product that will add to your BBCODE to allow tooltip'ing Syndication from wardb.com. You can read about the Syndication here: http://www.wardb.com/syndication.aspx

All this product does is the installation procedures that they outlined; written into a product to make it easier for install. I requested permission from them before proceeding.

Install:
Install is broken up into 5 easy steps:
  1. Backup your database and the file: includes/class_bbcode.php
  2. Download the zip file attached.
  3. Upload the includes folder to your forum directory.
  4. This mod is style dependent. Add this to your headinlcude template:
    • Go to AdminCP
    • Click Styles and Templates
    • Drop down the menu next to the Style you want this BBCODE to work under.
    • Customize the headinclude template
    • Find:
      Code:
      <script type="text/javascript">
      Add this before it:
      Code:
      <script src="http://www.wardb.com/js/extooltips.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
  5. Install the product using these directions:
    • Go to Admin CP
    • Click Plugin's and Products
    • Click Manage Products
    • Click Add/Import Product
    • Browse to the file and go!

Example:
Here's a screenshot:
The black box you see is a tooltip.

Here's a live demo where I have installed it on a friend's board for them: Here

Support:
I am around on the boards, so I can support the best I have time for

This is my first product I have released, so please be gentle with your criticism. I figured it would be a great one to start out with because wardb.com had given me permission and I could learn a few things since I knew the code already worked

Thanks goes out to wardb.com and warhammeralliance.com for allowing me to do this. They get all the credit for the cool code

Just to let anyone out there who may try installing this who is also using Curse's wowdb syndication, running this in conjunction with the other will cause issues... Just a FYI.

Yeah I found this just recently trying to use wowhead's syndication, but I got it to work.

I'll play with wowdb and see if there is a way to get them both to work concurrently.

Hello and thanks for the mod.

However i have one problem. I am running vB3.8.3 and install this product.

The product is working just fine however on my forum home page i get this error.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '<' in /home/pannivas/public_html/forums/index.php(67) : eval()'d code on line 1

This is only on the index.php.
If i go to forumdisplay or threads this error message will not show.

Any help?

don't bother with the mod, just get the synidcation javascript code from their site (wowdb, wardb, aiondb) and then put it in your header of your forum. works for me.
