i just got this forum from a friend.. bought it from him.. he dont know enough but i wanted to bring it here because this is where i can get it done correctly...

he just IMed me and told me this..

What happened was a code was put in and somehow the database made it be that it was put in 10000 times..so on almost every page you cant load them since the code is on it. Steve Machol (high up in the vbulletin organization) told me to re-upload the original files and have them overwrite the forum files. Someone tried that (another admin) and now we have extra files on the index page but that can be deleted easily.

SORRY EVERYONE- WHEN I HAD THIS DOMAIN TRANSFERRED, IT WAS TAKEN DOWN BECAUSE OF NAME SERVERS. I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL TOMORROW SO HE CAN GIVE ME THE NAME SERVERS TO EDIT BECAUSE HE JUST PUSHED THE DOMAIN TO ME OVER GODADDY.. SOIT WONT SHOW UP UNTIL I ENTER HIS NAME SERVERS FROM HIS HOSTING..

Umm yeah some advice.

1. Dont take vbulletin from anyone.
2. You must purchase your own licenses as this is affiliated with vbulletin.com and they will end up suing you or shutting your site down for nulled. (if that was the case)

Then just start the forums over? and reupload and install them.

If you dont want to lose posts or thread or even members, backup the sql database then import it.

im BRAND new to vbulletin really... iv used it in past but had someone do it..

im clueless.. stupid i guess :/

no clue how to do it..

also.. how do ig et the Vb forum over to my hosting..

i have the domain under godaddy but i have not used this VB with my hostgator..
