How do I do these board entry edits?

Hi everyone.

I've been looking at this lovely design (http://www.aboxcafe.com/forums/index.php) and I was wondering if anyone knows how to do the following:

1. On his "Contests and Events" board he's got a block of sub forums underneath the main board link. Firstly, how do I do this and also how do I put a background around it as he's done here? Secondly, how did he get the bullet point squares in there too?

2. How do you set a different icon for each board? For example, next to each board link he has a little icon.

3. How do you add an image to a board entry? So on his "Welcoming Floor" board link he's got a drawing of two characters with a speech bubble. I was wondering generally how to add these images in this location.

Thanks to anyone who can point me in the right direction, and I hope the owner of the site doesn't mind me holding his work up and drooling all over it.

1. It looks like he's just modified Cyb's subforum manager (it's called something like that) to put the subforums in their own box.

2. Just add the image to your template. Give them names like fx.png where x is the forumid. So, for forum 2, it would be f2.png and then just enter the image source as <img src="f$forumid.png" etc... /> in the template. Or, there may be a mod to do it - try search.

3. Probably just an edit to the template but I don't know the specifics. You can probably figure it out by looking at the page source.

Thanks Lynne, I now have my sub boards up and running and my members love it. I shall take your advice with the other two points also.
