Is there an indepth tutorial into how to create plugins and add hooks. I want to make plugins but Im stuck at the first hurdle

Yes but they don't really start from scratch. I had to do so much googling in the end to work out how to do this. Its really hard for a newbie to get started.

Ah, I couldn't find any of that. I wonder why the vB docs never seem to get high rankings on Google.
