Problem with 'View Public Profile"

We are running VB Ver 3.7.0 and Charcoal style written for Ver 3.6.8
Everything works ok, except when a user tries to view another's public profile.

As when viewing a post, clicking on username, then "View Public Profile", it does not show the public profile and only allows sending an email to that person.

I know that the style not for this version and if using the original 3.7 style it does show. Since the Charcoal style is not supported, I'm merely trying to find out where to look for this problem to try and correct.

A complete fix from someone would be great, but a search on all forums here do not show anyone else with the problem. Note that the Charcoal style has been completely removed and reinstalled with the same problem.

If your problem is with the dropdown on the post, then that is in the postbit, or postbit_legacy, template. So, go to edit that template, hit View History > Compare and view the differences between your template and the default Jelsoft one and then edit your template (maybe make a copy of it first before editing it).

Many thanks Lynn, that seems to be exactly what I needed. I'll investigate that template. Making a copy of a template before changing it, is something that I've learned about the hard way.

Darn it, even though I know better, I still sometimes believe one of the other admins when they say they've checked something and it works/doesn't work.

The "user profile" doesn't show up correctly on even the default style or in the Charcoal style, none of the Postbit templates show up in red and they all say there have been no modification from the original VB style.

Is the "postbit" template still the place to check this out, even though they show not changed from original. Is this something that changed from ver 3.6.8 to 3.7?

So now you are saying it doesn't work on *any* style? If that is so, I would check permissions and make sure you allow users to view other users profiles.
