Hey I did this and it's working, but on the 'edit templates' page when I click on the template group it is supposed to expand but it isn't, I'm getting this JavaScript error:

'arry has no properties' in vbulletin_templatemgr.js on line 260

My bad, did something wrong. I clicked 'custom templates' because I thought that was the one I created but mine was called 'custom pages'.

as a plugin in template_groups

Make sure you put the one for each group of templates as a new plugin as it makes it easier to remove them later if you need to.

Also, make sure you set the plugin to active.

Is this working?

Because I cannot make my custom templates that start with "adv_portal" to group. I tried the same group name as the original vBadvanced templates and with a new name and I got the same result: no changes.

Obviously I tried with other templates and it works just fine but not with templates that start with "adv_portal"

Any suggestions?
