Extracting certain data from db?
Right, so... Basically, I can't do much of anything on my forum anymore. Somehow, the plugin system has interferred with my forum to the extent of making it so people cannot leave visitor messages on profiles, staff cannot give infractions, member profiles did not even show up, and multiple paged threads only displayed the first page. Well, I fixed the last two problems by disabling two products, but the aforementioned prior to the last still plague my site. I disabled every single plugin, one by one, and found out that the one left over cannot be disabled nor uninstalled. But, it's an extremely old plugin, which is not supported anymore.
I'm sure there's no way to force uninstall the plugin, so I'm basically S.O.L. Is there a way for me to basically start a "new" forum, and import just the forums and sub-forums, threads, posts, and users from the current forum? |

Have you tried disabling the plugin system in config.php? If you haven't, give that a shot, open config.php, and right after the opening declaration put this...
Code:
define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true); If you want to go the route of using impex to import your old forums/database into a fresh install, that is also possible. See the vB manual for info on impex. http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/impex |
