Has anyone created a hack/mod for enabling blog comment moderation using infractions?

Seems like the only thing you can do is report and delete a comment.

I'm not sure I even understand the question. If someone posts an inappropriate comment, can't you delete/edit it and give them an infraction?

Well, much like in a thread you can give a user an infraction straight from the individual post, I'm wondering why there isn't the same thing for blog comments. Seems like it should be default functionality.
