i am vbseo sitemap user..
I have private forum (only for members) So you can see index but cant see content before registering.. I want to make google & all other SE crawl all my forum pages. Yes this is possible, however it would require a hack to allow the google bot to bypass your user restrictions.
However..... and this is really important. These sorts of techniques are considered to be "black hat" and if Google discovers this they may delist your entire site. |

I think its rather unethical.
What you want to do is use google to bait people into clicking your indexed pages only to be denied access to these pages. Thats really not user-friendly in my opinion. Its rather manipulative. I think you'll actually lose more potential members than you'll gain by doing this. I know if I were to do a google search and click on a link only to be given a message telling me that I must sign up to see the content, I'd click the "Back" button on my browser... and I'd make a personal note never to sign up to that forum due to its annoying tactics. I suggest that you allow guests to view the content as well as members and SE's. |
