Problems with moving forum from public_html to public_html/forum
I just installed vBadvanced and want it to me my main page. however, i've uploaded my forum into the public_html folder and not into a specified /forum folder. If i change my config.php file to reflect these modifications (when i move all my forum files to /forum) will i encounter any other problems? Is this way too good to be true? Thanks for your help!
--------------- Added [DATE]1233109815[/DATE] at [TIME]1233109815[/TIME] --------------- hmmm nevermind i thought there was a line in the config file that included the site's homepage. my mistake. anyway, would there be any problems if i simply move my forum like i specified? thanks |

Simply move your vbulletin files into the /forums folder.
Remember to change the site name and url settings in AdminCP to reflect the changes. |

You could also change your vbulletin index.php page to be called something else, like forums.php, and then enter that new home page name in vboptions > Forums Home Page Options > Script Name for Forum Home Page

For 99% of people, there is nothing in config.php that reflects the directory. Just move it, and change the URL set in the Admin CP (as mentioned above). Also remember to correct your details in the Members' Area.

Make sure to set your cookie options to default before moving the files.
