If you add the Jelsoft 3.8 changes to your template, it wil be marked as needing a revert again the next update, even if nothing has changed. Actually, that is what I usually do (but not all the time). I select my template to edit, hit view history > compare, then in the other window I revert my template and go add in my changes from the Compare screen. I didn't know about the whole up2date thing though but will now make sure I always do the revert first.
