Limiting amount of attachments downloading at one time?
hello yet again!
i've come to a point i need to limit the amount of attachments a user may download actively at once, as some users have begun to upload huge files to the server (which is fine, it is intended for that section), but many users are downloading EVERYTHING they can in one go, which is murdering the server. i'm pretty sure i seen it SOMEWHERE in vbulletin where you may limit this, and not the server, but i may be wrong, so any guidance would be great |

I dont believe there is a way in vBulletin by default but it would be nice.
There is an old mod though - https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=152701 |

oh, no way? well, thank you. a old mod is not wise for security but i do appreciate the effort!

Old mods are fine for security, most don't get updated unless a security hole is found.
But you can actually limit this with httpd.conf settings if your on a VPS or dedicated machine |
