What Do I Need To Export For A Fresh Install
Hi
Help urgently needed. My site has become heavily modded over the months and most mods are not even used. It started going really slow and i kept getting database errors every now and again and so did my users and they were getting progressively worse and slower. I dont no if it was to do with any mods as i havn't installed any new ones in a while and it has only started messing up over the last week or so. I tried optimising/repairing the database and now i canot access the site at all, not even the admincp. I am just getting a database error everytime. What i want to do anyway is install a fresh vbulletin and then export only the data that is essential out of the database and import it onto the new vbulletin. How hard is this to do and more importantly what exactly do i need to export and re-import. Thank you inadvance for any help Ben Jones |

Not too tough. You'll want to look into using the Impex script vb provides at vb.com. Using that script you can import all important data from an old DB to a fresh install. (2nd DB)
Be sure to remove the script soon as you're done. More on this at vb.com |

As mentioned, create a new installation of vBulletin and then use ImpEx to import the data you need.

It might help if you posted the actual error message.
