MySQLi logs me out of admincp
Everytime i try to save the settings in the admincp, i have to re-log in. After logging in, i have to log in again.
This only happens with mysqli, not with mysql. It's a fresh install. What is missing, what could be possibly wrong? It's drving me nuts! Any help is appreciated, thanks |

Does not make much sense if this only happens with MySQLi.
Start by setting your cookie domain and path to default in the vB Options. Next clear browser cache and cookies and try again. |

I tried that and it still keeps logging me out, expecially when i try to save the vB Settings -> All Settings. Whenever i just try to save one section it works, the full listing of all settings again logs me out.
And some texts that are put into HTML-Form-Elements are cut off at the first occurence of an Special Character like ä / ö / ü and so on. But you are right, this also happens with "mysql" |

The problem with your settings could be memory related or caused by mod_security or Suhosin / Hardened PHP.
Also it seems that you have problems with your MySQL and/or HTML characterset settings. This could also lead to more problems with MySQLi (as it has stronger support for charactersets). I suggest you check first for the memory problems, mod_security & suhosin. If you still have problems after that, you could best open a support ticket as characterset issues are difficult to troubleshoot without being able to inspect the server settings etc. |
