need help in forum database tables....
hi just wondering when we create a forum though add new forum in Forum Manager.
in which table of database it wrights the forum info can u please tell me thanks in adv. |

If you want to add/delete/edit forums through PHP code, you should use the data manager - as there is more to just executing a SQL query.

i am using SQLyog its nice soft it opens up all tables n its info so i was thinking of editing there. can u please tell me where its saved ty

You cannot just edit the table... you need to update things like the forumcache. If you really want to, look through the Forum DataManager code class_dm_forum.php to see which tables are used. Make sure you test it on a test board first though...

I strongly advice you not to do any manual edits in the database, unless you know very well how vB stores all the data and you are experienced in editing this data and troubleshoot any isssues as a result of the manual edit.
