Default There's a mod that lets you set pictures to show up in place of text user names...

You know, instead of a username being text, on the forum it's displayed as a picture. I know a forum that can do this, and I'd like for mine to have that feature as well. Like that forum, I want it so I'd have to be the one to set the pictures for them.

I've searched this forum for it, but I can't find it. I'd imagine it's here though. Please help me find it?

Sure. Enter at your own risk though, I can't think of a single post made there ever that didn't contain at least one swear or racial slur. http://forums.ytmnsfw.com

You can see how the users drunkpuppies and ROY4L have their names set right at the bottom of the front page. I'm looking to have that.

Pretty sure its a One on one basis code change

Normally for your username you have

<div id="postmenu_28378">

<a rel="nofollow" class="bigusername" href="http://www.mysite.com/forum/members/timberfloorau.html"><b><font color=#727272 >TimberFloorAu</font>

they have

<div id="postmenu_1356853">

<a class="bigusername" href="member.html?u=56"><img src="/star/56.gif" border="0" /><!--drunkpuppies--></a>

So seems all they have done is injected an image and tag into a particular username.

Pretty sure this is done via ADMINCP somewhere, its not something I like. So perhaps someone else can help with where you can inject specific code

In fact just checked.

All you need to do, is goto admincp > user manager

Locate a user ( say admin )

Click custom user title. ( allow HTML )

In field above add html

vb stats on this is

Quote:
When set to "Yes, admin set (HTML allowed)" the user's title will be forced to whatever is in the User Title field above. HTML code in the title will be shown as is and not be parsed. These titles will be maintained if the user is not in an usergroup that allows custom titles.
So just add something like:

<img src="/images/myusername.gif" border="0" /><!--username as identifier-->

I meant I wanted the image to replace the user name, not the title. Sorry. That did work for making the title a picture, but yeah I meant the actual user name text. Got any ideas for that?

--------------- Added [DATE]1217104488[/DATE] at [TIME]1217104488[/TIME] ---------------

I figured out how to add a picture above or below a name, but not right over it.

When making a new usergroup, the Username HTML Markup option lets me do that. If I put an image link in the first box it puts it above the user name, the second box, below it. But there's nothing I can find to put it over it.

So I'm guessing it's not actually a mod, but just some HTML I need to put in somewhere.

Help please?

Agh. Ok, so it is modifying code. I made a thread at the official vbull forum and got

"Sorry, there is no function to do this. This requires modifying the code. We cannot officially support code modifications or forums running modified code, however you can try asking for help with this over at www.vbulletin.org."
