IS there a way to stop members seeing a certain forum but not guests, i want to use a forum for grabbing rss feeds but only for guests and search engines to see and not my members who see them as niusance value

any ideas ?

Just use forum permissions like you normally would.

would this stop the threads showing up on the new posts bit ? for members ?

Only if you exlude the forums in question from being displayed. This all depends on what type of Last X posts you are using.

If they don't have permission to access the forum in which the threads are located, then these threads will also not show on searches.
