send courtesy link to member to edit their own post

It would be useful for the moderators if there was a button in a post near the edit and quote buttons, or as a moderator drop down choice, that said

'send edit request to poster'

And when you clicked this link, a box would pop up, much like the report post box, but with some standard text, and a place to add a 'reason'. it would send an email and a pm to the original poster, with a link to that thread, and the request for the user to self-edit the thread, with a note that if it wasn't self edited in 'x' time period, a moderator would edit it.

This would allow a user to edit a thread themselves to remove minor infraction/objectional material. Many of my users get upset when a moderator edits their thread, and then say 'if you had just asked me, or if I had known, i would have edited it myself'. It's not a big deal function, but it;s something that introduces more courtesy and more professionality into the forum moderation area.

This is a courtesy request for you to edit one of your posts. Our board has a specific list of rules and requests for post content, listed here (link to board rules or faqs would go here). Your post at this link (link to post would be automatically inserted here) contains content that goes against site rules, so we would like to request that you:

Here would be a box for the moderator to insert the reason, i.e. remove the profanity, remove a link to objectionable or unauthorized content, edit your real name out of the post, whatever issue is in the post.

Please edit your post within the next (time frame), or a moderator will make this change for you. If you have any questions, please reply to this message or check with the moderator of the board this post is on.

The blue areas would be phrased areas in the vbulletin admin area, and the green area is a box for the mod to write whatever they need to.
