How to skip logout screen ?
I tried searching the forums for this simple hack where when someone clicks on logout, it takes them back to the previous page instead of the default behavior of asking whether to go to Forum home or go to previous page.
Thanks |

It has to be that way because of some cookie thing, I believe.

That is correct. This page is needed for cookie maintenance.

Look at what happens in the PHP files.

I'm not savvy enough to know what I'm looking at or for.
Can you please explain what happens? |

Basically, cookies need to be removed and "maintained". This can't happen if no page is displayed.

Okay, getting closer to understanding this.
Removed and "maintained" sound like opposites. Can you elaborate a bit more? Maintained how? By the browser (which seems to go against "removed")? What happens if cookies are not removed and maintained? Thanks much for helping a newbie. |

Basically, cookies are handled client-side (by the browser). If you don't load any pages, the browser won't do anything. So to "logout" a user, we need to remove certain cookies, to do that, we need to send a page to the browser.
