I'd just like any thoughts on World Literature Forum and if anyone can help with getting the very bottom black bar to fit in place, I'd be most grateful.
I dig it. You might want to use a background image (like the dark blue one here) to make the white of your forum table "pop" a bit more. Also, change that registration text into an image - it's a lot better for SEO.
I just wanted to say thanks again, Chris-777. I made gradient (going the other way) and uploaded it and, aside from one little white patch I can't quite work out how to get rid of, it looks great and really does, as you say, bring out the white portion of the forum.
I change the registration text to an image too, as suggested.
Change your look, it's too old looking and makes the site look dead.
Er, no. I won't change the look. If it looks old then that's good because it's meant to be peaceful and reflective. I don't quite understand what you mean by it looks dead when it's plain to see by the regular postings and daily visits of some members that it's rather active for a young forum.

The most members online over 24 hours was 18. Really active.
I like the book looking theme, just go a bit web 2.0. (No glossy crap, though!)
Template looks like when the internet was first released to the public...

Honestly that's one of the things I like best about the style. There are plenty of uber-modern looking skins out there right now, it's refreshing to see one that looks like a comfortable, worn-in old paperback.
i think you had really done justice with the domain-name. It really feels like a community for reader of literature. I really liked the color schemes as well. is definitely unique.
