Generic new thread page?
Apologies of this question is elsewhere (or on vb.com), but I did try to search and I just can't seem to find it.
Is there an option (or is there a hack) to have a generic "add thread" page, where you can select the forum you are posting too (as you type your new thread)? It would seem easier than having to go to a forum and then select "new thread"??? |

I'm looking for this also... I think it would be much more easier to "new Vbulletin users" to simply click a "New Thread" button and select ALL the options there (including in which forum they want to open the thread)...
The new "web 2.0" thingy works like that, I think that the process of going to a forum, and then clicking the "new thread button" it's getting a little "older".. See digg.com for example: You don't have to navigate to the section, just select "Submit New" and then choose the section... |

Hey there, it has been a few years since I made this post.
What I ended up doing was by modifying this hack: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=157353 So that it instead of going to that forum, it went to the new thread page for that forum instead. If you want I can email it to you? |

Thanks Pipedreams... But the problem is that I have over 100 forums.. That 'navbar' wouldn't be a good idea for my forums...
I would preferr just a 'generic' new thread, with something similar to that 'navbar' but with some check buttons so the users can choose the forum right there... |
