vbCover.com general rules question

Basically I have a question about guys with a pretty good customer support, for which they have my respect. The website I am talking about is vbcover.com. They have some commercial solutions for one's particular needs.

Long story short. Stupid me paid $130 for their magazine product, which I have nothing bad to say about besides the part that it is encoded with ioncube and part F of their user agreement states "(f) The source code of the software may be altered at Licensee's own risk, except in accordance with paragraph 2(h) below. "

My conclusion was that it is not 100% ioncube protected and it leaves some room for modification. Let alone the fact that on this very current moment it does not state that the source code is 100% ioncubed.

So when I discover it is 100% ioncubed I get a PM saying that there will be no refund (orry, but it states on every page that there is no refunds once product has been delivered/downloaded). Purchase pages that is.

So here is my question.

1. Is this "politically correct" to approach client-service provider relationship in such a way.
2. If I acquire a "NULLed (de-ioncubed)" version of the product(with modification purposes) for which I already have a license - will it be legal.
3. What is the "no-refund" policy based on?

1. Its their product/code they are entitled to do whatever they wish with it. Personal opionons on wether encoding their paid product is politically correct or good customer relations are irrelevant
2. Most the time, nulled versions are also encrypted still, they simply work around activation process, or other means of security and the source usually still isn't visible.
3. Their no-refund policy sounds like its based on their no-refund policy. Again its their policy and they have the right to issue refunds or not.

If it is encrypted it is just as easy to decrypt.
So with that said its up to you how you decide to take it.

Don't think I'm telling you to do that I was just saying. They try to protect their source but that makes it hard to make a product fit our needs you should really do some research before you pay for something and make sure its what you want when they do say all over the site there is a no refund policy.
