Why did you choose VB?
Why did you decide to go with VB rather than other systems?
It took me a lot of research and after weeks off searching I decided to go with VB because of its speed, stability, and security. I saw many many companies have it and it seems to handle huge forums very well. It's a well made product. Best money I've ever spend on a bulletin board system. |

I have a few owned licenses and it was from my experience of being a member and super mod on a vBulletin site for 7+ years now and a member on other vBulletin sites for several years too. vB is the best and most powerful message board with great support. Free mesageboard systems are usually flakey and dont have good support due to them being free.

I think this belongs in the Community Lounge
I originally had phpBB2 and used a free host (freeforums.org). I got very annoyed at the lack of features, constant downtime ect...although I couldn't dispute the price. I then switched to paid hosting, hoping it would help me further my site. The first thing I did was upgrade to phpBB3, hoping it would be a lot better. Unfortunately, I was wrong. Although phpBB is good, and best of all it's free -- it just didn't suit me and I couldn't see my site taking off with it. Finally, I found vBulletin and vBSEO -- never looked back since. I would pay 2x the price for both products. Regards Jason |

I used phpBB 2 for about four years. I was tired of the constant hacking, long days of editing files to configure things to my specification. At first, I didn't mind.
As my board grew, I needed more stability and security. I threw the idea out to my board members about VB and many heard of it and offered to chip in for the price of it so I went ahead and purchased the liscense. |
