Section messages for unregistered guests
I am wonder if someone might help me with this two-fold issue.
We run a proxy forum site that requires registration and login in order to view various proxy lists posted by members. We have two areas for proxies ... a Private and Public sections. My first problem is, when unregistered guests visit the site they can see that we have a Public Proxy section and the various categories within. If they click on (for example) the section for Anonymous HTTP Proxies, the following message is presented: "There are no posts in this forum" That is both incorrect and misleading and therefore I wish it to say: "You need to register to view items posted in this section." Once they have registered and logged in, they can also see that we have a Private Proxy section. Once again, until they have qualified for entrance, when they click on one of the sub-forums contained within this section the message reads: "There are no posts in this forum" For this section I would like this message to read: "You cannot view material posted in this section until you become a VIP member." Can this be done and if so how? If not, how come? Thanks for any and all assistance. |
