User banning/registration options not operating properly, HELP PLEASE
I have a very small board (vb 3.6.8). I am the only admin. With a recent upswing in spammer registrations, I have start banning certain IP's and IP ranges. I also have a pretty big list of banned email addresses. Recently, banned email addresses are getting through. Mostly these are emails with .ru extensions ( I placed *.ru on the ban list ) and they are still getting through. So, I decided to moderate all new members, I activated moderate new members and it is still activated, however, they are becoming registered users WITHOUT my approval/moderation. Anyone have any suggestions on why they aren't working. I haven't installed any mods related to user registration or made any custom mods related to user registration.
Help, please.... Johnnie |

Have you tried testing this out by registering a new user yourself and seeing what happens?

This may be a bug with vBulletin, you should maybe post this on the vBulletin Bug Tracker.

You are not supposed to use a * in the banned email address, read the fields description.
