lol.. as a complete novice it took me a day to work out how to get VB working.
Its NOT easy if you know very little. I'd suggest any novice to simply pay vbulletin to do it all for you unless you want to learn how to do it for yourself. Easy question for any newbie... Do you know how to do ftp uploads and know where to get the software? (Its free). If you're not comfortable with that... then installing vb will give you problems. |

When I got my first vB I had no experience atall and I had it running in 20 mins :O

The install procedures could be a bit simpler. There's a few jumps that a complete newbie might not quite grasp and that can create problems.
I'd say there is next to no newbies that know how to do ftp uploads, and they are dead in the water unless they have some techie background or someone to ask. Its not just vbulletin, its also understanding your own control panel, there's plenty of newbies that wouldn't even know enought about their file manager to really do the install properly. Especially if there were any issues through incorrect file uploads. |
