User CP Options
Hi there,
When i go to my user cp on my site running vbulletin, i see thet it says New Subscribed Threads, and then lists them all in bold. When i reply to some of them, then go back to my user cp, i still see the ones that i havent replied to in bold, and the ones that i just replied to. How can i get it so that it only displays the ones that i need to reply to? Also, when i click view subscriptions, i see that some of them at the top are ones that i have read, so they are not in bold, but some of the ones at the bottom are bold because i havent read or replied to them yet. How can i get it so that i doesnt just order it by the last time posted, but also put the ones i havent read and that are in bold at the top of all the others? |

That would be quite some trick. You don't just want to use the New Posts function, you want vb to tell you if a thread you've previously posted in actually requires a response from you? How the heck is vb supposed to know?

Ok, i kind of phrased that wrong.
Basically, digital point rund vbulletin, and when i post at threads, and then the next day go on my user cp i see new private messages and new thread posts that i have subscribed to. When i click a private message, it stops it from being bold because i have viewed it. I dont even have to reply, and it will take it of from being displayed at the main user cp page. With threads, when i click then, it takes it of from being bold because i have viewed them. But when i go back to the user cp, the threads that are not bold anymore and still being listed there. How can i get it so that if i view them, they dont display on the main user cp page? Digital point can do it! |

I can't answer your question directly. But I will say I think you need to get away from using this method and start using the New Posts function.
I mean, if nobody else has posted since you, then you don't need to read the thread again. And by only reading subscribed threads, you're missing out on all the new ones. That just doesn't make any sense. |
