I'm trying to build quite an advanced forum around the vBulletin 3.7.0 codebase (I see no point in starting on 3.6.8).

What I want to do:

A thread is in a forum ('Forum A'). There is a subforum in 'Forum A' for expired 'Forum A' threads ('Forum B').

I want to add a button which when clicked by users will mark a thread with a 'expired' prefix in 'Forum A' but not automatically move it to 'Forum B'. If clicked by a moderator/administrator the button should automatically attach the 'expired' prefix and move the thread from 'Forum A' to 'Forum B'.

Is this possible? Am I making any sense?!
